01 May 2002 - -
AGE-NC Project No. 01-0875
7.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based upon non-detectable concentrations of contaminants in the analyzed soil and groundwater
samples, AGE recommends that no further action be taken at the site. There was no impact to
groundwater, the source of contamination(the separator)has been removed, the impacted soil was
mostly removed by the excavation, and the soil descriptions obtained from soil borings suggest a
limited amount of contamination left in place.
8.0. BACKFILLING OF EXCAVATION AND STOCKPILE DISPOSAL
On 02 April 2002, the excavation cavity was partially backfilled utilizing approximately 20 cubic
yards of 5/16-inch pea gravel, delivered by Conti Material Service Inc. After backfilling was
completed the remaining area was finished with reinforced cement to surface grade.Approximately
20 cubic yards of soil removed during excavation activities and stockpiled on the site were
transported to Forward Inc.Landfill under non-hazardous waste manifests by Conti Material Service
Inc. Copies of Manifests Issued by Forward Inc. Landfill are Included as Appendix B.
9.0. LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were based mainly
upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory. Evaluations of the geologic/
hydrogeologic conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a limited
number of available data points (i.e. soil samples) and subsurface conditions may vary away from
these data points. No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional
recommendations contained in this report.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
