i <br /> 4.2 Medical Surveillance <br /> Medical monitoring programs are designed to:track the physical condition of employees <br /> and to establish preemployment or baseline!conditions before potential exposures. The <br /> medical surveillance program is a part of each employer's health and safety program. <br /> Before being assigned to a hazardous or potentially hazardous activity involving potential <br /> exposure to toxic materials, each employee must receive a physical examination in <br /> accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.120(f). The content of the physical is <br /> to be determined by the employer's medical !consultant. A periodic physical examination <br /> is required of all employees within the previous 12 months. <br /> 4.3 Site Safety Meetings <br /> Daily site safety.orientation/training meetings will be conducted by the HSO (1) before <br /> field personnel begin work at the site, (2) when modifications are made to the HSP, and <br /> (3) when additional personnel begin work. The meetings will be attended by all <br /> personnel involved in field activities. The meeting agenda will include, but not <br /> necessarily be limited to, the following: <br /> ❑ Description of the assigned tasks'and associated potential hazards <br /> ff ❑ Coordination of site activities <br /> 0 Identification of methods and precautions to prevent injuries <br /> ❑ Emergency planning <br /> ❑ Modification of the HS.P <br /> ❑ Input from field personnel on health and safety issues <br /> ❑ Collection of each attendees signatures, acknowledging receipt and <br /> g g g p <br /> understanding of the HSP and agreement to comply. <br /> All site training will be documented in the field log.
