<br /> sidewalk.
<br /> On November 71_1995, tho,cpncrete covering the ME$ pipinq., wells, and monitor
<br /> points was rerndved. All-lateral .piping beneath the c:ly side�+va1`Is,dv�s,III-/-ved and
<br /> disposed. The lateol,',piping from the VES to, the city sidewalk (located on the
<br /> Firestone property) was left in place. This piping was plugged with a cement grout.
<br /> By the conclusion of thb VES cpgration, 10 drums of carbon had been accumulated.
<br /> On November 8; 1"995,the drums were picked up by Viking Freight Systems, Inc„ and
<br /> transported to Northwest-Carbon's facility in Red'BjufF, California. The volatile organic
<br /> constituents (VOCs)-accumulated in the carbon were treated by thermal incineration.
<br /> The bill of 'lading and,certificate of VOC destruction and carbon reactivation are
<br /> attached for your records.
<br /> The 19 drums of drill cuttings stored at the site were also picked up on November 8,
<br /> 1995. Laidlaw Environmental Services Southwest picked up the drums and
<br /> transported them to its facility in Phoenix, Arizona. The Uniform Hazardous Waste
<br /> IN Mani#est, which documents the transportation and disposal, is attached.
