The
consistency of vacuum levels throughout SVES operation suggests that the system
had achieved a state of equilibrium and that the zone of vacuum influence was not
increasing significantly with continuing system operation.
Based on the vacuum results, the horizontal radius of vacuum influence created by
operation of SVES well VE-1 has been verified at greater than 20-feet, and is
estimated to have exceeded 30-feet (Vacuum Influence Diagram - Appendix 7.5).
The screened interval of vapor well VE-1 was installed from 18- to 28-feet BG,
extending across the sand layer at 18- to 24-feet BG where the most concentrated
petroleum impacts were observed In addition, at 28-feet BG, the screened interval
extended below the deepest observed petroleum impacts at the site (field
observations of slight odor at 27-feet BG).
Based on previous contaminant delineation activity, the sphere of vacuum influence
created by SVES operation is believed to have fully encompassed both the
horizonal and vertical extent of soil containing gasoline impacts at the site.
IRYANMURPHY, INCORPORATM Deter
Filivir meatal Co=&uction Mae;age nad 14s
