11. ON-SITE EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT <br /> Emergency information is prominently displayed in strategic on-site locations. Decontamination <br /> equipment and supplies are located downrange as appropriate at strategic locations. <br /> Stericycle will provide and use, as necessary, safety equipment through Level B protection(chemical- <br /> resistant clothing,boots and gloves). In addition,an ample supply of Tyvek and splash suits,protective <br /> boots, gloves, and glasses will be available. A minimum of Level D protection will be worn in <br /> restricted areas. <br /> Standard safety equipment will include fingerprint identification materials; full-face air-purifying, <br /> breathing apparatus; eye wash stations; first aid kits; phones; absorbents and spill pillows; fire <br /> extinguishers, and empty containers. <br /> The facility site map (Attachment A) identifies the locations of emergency equipment. Emergency <br /> information is prominently displayed in strategic on-site locations. Basic emergency and first aid <br /> equipment, decontamination equipment and supplies are available on-site. Equipment includes: <br /> 1) Communications—Air horns (two, white and red), one located in the cabinet and one adjacent to <br /> the paint bulking area in the warehouse. Additionally, an emergency telephone (red) is located inside <br /> the warehouse on the wall to the right of the loading dock door. <br /> 2) Eye wash/safety shower (two, green and yellow, plus full size shower in restroom), one located <br /> outside in the unloading zone and one located adjacent to the paint bulking area in the warehouse. <br /> 3) Fire extinguishers - five extinguishers located in strategic locations throughout the building: one <br /> ABC in the waste processing area, one ABC in the chemical storage area, one ABC in the non- <br /> hazardous storage area, one ABC in the office, and one D in the waste processing area(see site map <br /> in Attachment A). <br /> 4) First aid kits (two, white cases), one located in the office above the filing cabinet and one in the <br /> warehouse adjacent to the paint bulking area. <br /> 5) Spill kits (two, in black drums labeled "spill kit") consisting of absorbents and spill pillows, non- <br /> reactive absorbent packaging material, broom, dust pan, Tyvek splash suits, disposable gloves and <br /> safety glasses are located one outside adjacent to the hazardous waste storage tanks, and one inside <br /> adjacent to the shipping/receiving area of the warehouse. <br /> 6) Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for the products and hazardous substances handled are <br /> located adjacent to the shipping/receiving area of the warehouse, as well as in the office adjacent to <br /> the copy machine. MSDS sheets not available on site may be obtained electronically through the <br /> internet or from the manufacturer of the product or substance. <br /> 7)Additional safety equipment is in the non-hazardous storage area, including absorbent pads, empty <br /> containers,chemical fingerprint identification materials,chemical-resistant clothing,Tyvek and splash <br /> suits, protective boots, and gloves, and a full-face air-purifying breathing apparatus. <br /> 12. HAZARD ANALYSIS <br /> Site activities may include the use of heavy equipment,handling of hazardous substances and working <br /> under various environmental conditions. Stericycle crew members shall be aware of the hazards <br /> Page 27 of 41 <br />
