Team/Emergency Services, Stockton Police Department, and/or paramedics--will be notified and <br /> respond to the incident as appropriate. SDS information shall be provided whenever feasible in the <br /> event of a chemical spill or exposure. <br /> Local Community Hospital Contact(See Hospital Map, above): The San Joaquin General Hospital, <br /> which has been identified to be closest to the site, is described in preceding pages of this plan. A 24- <br /> hour Emergency Room is located at this medical facility. In the case of chemical exposure a MSDS <br /> for the substance shall be obtained and provided to the treatment facility. The address, phone <br /> numbers, and particulars for traveling from the site location to the medical facility are listed above. <br /> 15.3 EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT <br /> The facility site map (Attachment A) identifies the locations of emergency equipment. Emergency <br /> information is prominently displayed in strategic on-site locations. Basic emergency and first aid <br /> equipment, decontamination equipment and supplies are available on-site. Equipment includes: <br /> 1) Communications—Air horns (two, white and red), one located on the beige cabinet just inside the <br /> roll up door in the unloading area and one adjacent to the paint bulking area in the warehouse. <br /> Additionally, an emergency telephone(red) is located inside the warehouse on the wall to the right of <br /> the loading dock door. <br /> 2) Eye wash/safety shower (two, green and yellow, plus full size shower in restroom), one located <br /> outside in the unloading zone and one located adjacent to the paint bulking area in the warehouse. <br /> 3) Fire extinguishers - five extinguishers located in strategic locations throughout the building: one <br /> ABC in the waste processing area, one ABC in the chemical storage area, one ABC in the non- <br /> hazardous storage area, one ABC in the office, and one D in the waste processing area (see site map <br /> in Attachment A). <br /> 4) First aid kits (two, white cases), one located on the table in the hallway outside of the office door <br /> and one in the warehouse adjacent to the paint bulking area. <br /> 5) Spill kits are located throughout the facility and are marked"Spill Kit, or Spill Absorbent". There <br /> are two fiber drums containing absorbent socks or"Booms"(white booms are for oil only, grey booms <br /> are for aqueous liquids)in the non-hazardous storage area next to the black tote of box and drum liners. <br /> 6) Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for the products and hazardous substances handled are located in the <br /> filing cabinet next to the fume hood in the lab-pack area of the warehouse. SDS sheets not available <br /> on site may be obtained electronically through the internet or from the manufacturer of the product or <br /> substance. <br /> 7)Additional safety equipment is in the non-hazardous storage area,including absorbent pads,empty <br /> containers,chemical fingerprint identification materials,chemical-resistant clothing,Tyvek and splash <br /> suits, protective boots, and gloves, and a full-face air-purifying breathing apparatus. <br /> Page 38 of 41 <br />
