Manager stated that the flies have been
an ongoing issue for the facility. The manager then followed me to the display case for the baked goods and it was observed
that plastic wrap and tape have been applied to close any crevices or gaps due to the case not containing any form of
gaskets. Did not see any fruit flies inside of the display case but observed numerous flies inside of facility and back storage
area. Facility does have a functioning air curtain when first entering and at the drive-thru window, however the automatic
window closer was not operational until pointed out to manager. Observed pest control records and previous pest control
service was conducted on 10/22/2019, one of the services include insecticide for flies. An associate also stated that the
silicone filling for the counters near the drive-thru window dissolves with time and there has been cases when flies would use
thesecrevices to reproduce or hide during the day. Observed silicone currently in crevices, however some areas does show
silicone beginning to dissolve. Manager stated a work order has been placed for the gaskets for the display case and an
external pest control for flies to use inside of the back storage area. Will return on or after 11/06/2019 to observed facility on
improvements for battling the issue or if issue with flies continue.
Official inspection report emailed.
The person in charge is responsible for ensuring that the above mentioned facility is in compliance with all applicable sections of the California Health and
Safety Code.If a reinspection is required, fees will be assessed at the current hourly rate.
Received by: Name and Title: Vanessa Montiel, Store Manager
EH Specialist: VICTOR ACEVEDO Phone: (209)468-0337
FA0017977 C00050978 SC544 10/30/2019
EHD 16-23 Rev.06/30/15 Page 1 of 1 Food Program Complaint Inspection Report
1868 E.
