If the tank product level is less than 60°/0 or more than 900/G of tank
capacity, Do not test without specific instructions from Houston
Quality Control.
11. Safety check for tank bottom pressure diferential.
1 Enter tank diameter (A)
in.
2. Enter Tank Top to Surface Distance (B) in.
3. Calculate tank bottom to surface (A+B) = (C) in
4. Enter water table distance from surface (D) in.
5. Subtract water table (D) from tank bottom (C)
to obtain (E) in.
6. Calculate water head pressure at tank bottom
(E) x 0.03,5psi = (F) psi.
7. To obtain tank bottom pressure differential (G), ADD ,,rater head
pressure (F) and the probe set point (1.2 for steel or 0.5 for fiberglass tanks).
(F) -+• 1 .2 = (G) or (F) -+- 0.5 = (G)
Total diferential equals (G) psi
If total diferential (G) exceeds 4. 00 psi DO NOT TEST
without special instructions from Houston Quality
Control.
Surfcce
B
T
D
C
' I
A I Top of vaLer t9ble
E
TANKNOLOGY CORPORATION INTERNATIONAL
PEI: Western Revlon • 4980-F Allison Parkway • Vacaville,CA 95888
a - (7071 448-2494 • (8001826-5837 a FAX(7071 448-2495 FORM 7
