Cherokee
Lodi, CA
This letter is being provided at the request of Mr. Doug Wilson, San
Joaquin County, Environmental Health Division. Ultramar will replace the
Gilbarco TM4 tank monitoring console with the Gilbarco ESS tank monitoring
console. This ESS console provides rapid detection of a leak and
automatically trips the turbine relay "off". The ESS console literature
is attached for you review.
As discussed Ultramar will replace the equipment within four to six weeks
and will schedule a reinspection with your department at that time.
Mr. Wilson has indicated that the station will be allowed to pump fuel
prior to the equipment change provided that Ultramar takes full
responsibility for any fuel spills that may arise due to the use of the
TM4.
Again, thank you for your time and attention towards this matter. I can
be reached at (209) 583-3342 for questions.
Very truly yours,
-ULTRAMAR INC.
l /,
Paul Clar
Senior Project Engineer
Attachment
cc: Gary Rosa
Bryce Ruschhuapt
PC/mas
BEACION
A Member of the Ultramar Group of Companies #1 Quality and Service
