Cherokee Lane <br /> Lodi, CA 95240 <br /> Per our discussion, please find enclosed a check in the amount $2,574.00. For <br /> the closure of eleven (11) additional UST's that were discovered at the above <br /> referenced location. <br /> The existence of these additional tanks was unknown to us and present a most <br /> unwelcome and extremely expensive surprise. I trust that you and your <br /> co-workers would agree that Ultramar has pursued the location, removal and <br /> subsequent cleanup of these tanks in a timely manner. <br /> I formally request consideration by your department in the assessment of any <br /> fees associated with these tanks and hope that the $234.00/tank fee is <br /> adequate. <br /> Additionally, we will be installing a Gilbarco EMC tank monitoring system <br /> instead of the Gilbarco TM4 system previously applied for (Application To <br /> Install, page 5, item #15c) . The EMC is a much more elaborate console that <br /> will allow for product shut-down when a leak is detected in either the sump or <br /> annular space and also allows the use of in-tank inventory probes, which will <br /> be installed.
