a ,
31 January 1997
AGE-NC Project No 95-0142
consideration
• At least one additional monitoring well should be installed at the site The proposed well
should be installed at least 50 to 60 feet east of vapor well VW-3 This location is down
gradient from the dissolved hydrocarbon plume
• Consideration should be given to replacing wells MW-1 through MW-3, as ground water
elevation has remained well above the screened intervals in the existing monitoring wells for
an extended period of time
• The next quarterly ground water monitoring should be scheduled for March 1997 Since no
samples have been collected from wells MW-1 or MW-2 in over 12 months, samples should
be collected from these wells in addition to MW-4 and VW-1 through VW-4 Samples from
these will provide additional data for the determination of hydrocarbon plume stability
• The concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons detected in the purged water do not exceed
acceptable limits for discharge into the City of Stockton treatment plant Therefore, we
recommend obtaining permission from the City of Stockton to dispose of the purged water
into the sanitary sewer
5.0. LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based upon
analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluations of the geologic/hydrogeologic
conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation were made from a limited number of data
points (i a monitoring wells, ground water samples) and subsurface conditions may vary away from
these data points No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional
recommendations contained in this report
