r UARTERLY REPORT- July 1995 ' Stockton Plating 632 South El Dorado Street Stockton, California 1 r1.0. INTRODUCTION In accordance with the request of Stockton Plating,Advanced GeoEnvtronmental, Inc (AGE)has ' prepared this Quarterly Report for 632 South El Dorado Street in Stockton, California (the site) The location of the site is illustrated in Figure 1 A plan of the site is depicted in Figure 2 ' This report details soil and ground water assessment activities at the site between May and July 1995 Activities included the advancement of three push points for the purpose of soil sampling and nine, ' push points for collection of soil vapor samples ' 2.0. BACKGROUND 21 SITE DESCRIPTION The site is located along Scotts Avenue in a relatively flat area of southwest Stockton, immediately south of Morman Slough and east of the El Dorado Street overpass Local land use is the vicinity of ' the site is industrial and commercial Residential areas are located approximately one-quarter mile south and east of the site 2 2 UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL h It is our understanding that two underground storage tanks(USTs) were removed from the property one 1,000-gallon leaded gasoline UST was removed from the site in August 1986 and one 2,000- gallon unleaded gasoline UST was removed from the site in 1990 Petroleum hydrocarbons were ' detected in soil samples collected from beneath both USTs at the time of removals Results of the UST removals were summarized in reports prepared by American Environmental Management Corporation(AEMC, 6 October 1986)and Condor Earth Technologies, Inc (CET, 2 January 1991) ' T 23 INITIAL SITE ASSESSMENT In September 1991, six soil borings were drilled at the site under the supervision of CET Petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in soil samples from five of the six soil borings Results of the investigation were summarized in a "Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report" dated 10 October 1991, prepared by CET t 1
