INTRODUCTION <br />' At the request of Mr Richard Leland of R and L Business Management of Stockton, Advanced <br /> GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this Quarterly Report of field activities performed at - <br /> 632 South El Dorado Street, Stockton, California(the site) <br /> 1 ' <br /> This report documents the installation of one ground water well and the quarterly monitoring results <br />' for December 1998 The-site setting is illustrated in Figure i The locations of strictures and <br /> monitoring wells on the site are depicted in Figure 2 1 <br /> Background information, including details of previous site assessment work, was presented in <br /> Quarterly Report - March 1996, dated 05 April 1996, Quarterly Report - June 1998, dated <br /> September 1998 and in the Corrective Action Plan - December 1995, prepared by AGE <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> 1• <br /> Monitoring and sampling were performed in accordance with guidelines established by the Central <br /> Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) and by the San Joaquin County Public <br />' Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) for the subsurface investigation of <br /> underground storage tank (UST) sites In addition field work was conducted in accordance with the <br />' PHS-EHD approved Work Plan far Depth Discrete Hydrocarbon Assessment, dated 06 June 1998 <br /> Initially, the scope of work for the ground water investigation at the site included the installation of <br />' three depth discrete ground water wells' However,due to higher than expected silts and fines in the <br /> ground water during drilling, only one well has been installed The two remaining proposed wells <br /> will be installed after sampling of the new well and the procurement of the necessary city <br /> encrouchment permit- ' <br />' 2 1 DRILLING AND SAMPLING <br /> On 04 November 1998, one ground water monitoring well was installed on-site Drilling and <br />' sampling was performed using a truck-mounted CME 75-HT drill rig equipped with continuous <br /> flight ' 8=inch hollow-stern augers The drill rig and two-man crew were provided by Soils <br /> Exploration Services (SES) of Sacramento, California The soil boring was established with 8-inch <br />' hollow-stem augers Auger returns (soil cuttings) were placed in Department of Transportation <br /> • (DOT) approved 55-gallon drums at the northeast corner of the site, treatment or disposal at a <br /> licenced treatment/disposal facility will be deterrriined, following laboratory analysis <br /> 1 <br /> Advanced GeoEnriron mental,Inc ` <br /> 1 <br /> r " <br />
