rr! � 26 May 1998 AGE-NC Project No 95-0142 Page 4 of 4 documented release (vapor well VW-1), located immediately adjacent to the former TKi-90 UST Concentrations of TPH-g and BTE&X in the ground water samples collected from vapor wells VW-2 and VW-4 have remained similar to the concentrations detected in samples collected during the previous quarter, while hydrocarbon concentrations decreased in the sample collected from VW-3 • The dissolved hydrocarbon plume margins are not well delineated north, west and southwest of VW-4 or south of VW-1 The estimated extent of the dissolved hydrocarbon plume is depicted in Figure 4 5 0. RECOMMENDATIONS Based upon past and present site conditions, AGE recommends • Continued quarterly monitoring, the next quarterly ground water monitoring should be scheduled for June 1998 • • Installation of an additional ground water monitoring well approximately 35 feet southeast of VW-1 near the inferred southern margin of the dissolved plume (see Figure 2) • Installation of additional soil vapor extraction and/or in-situ air sparg►ng wells needed for preparation for active remediation at the site • Dispose of purged ground water through a licenced waste hauler 6.0 LIMITATIONS Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluations of the geologiclhydrogeologic conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation were made from a Iimited number of data points (i a monitoring wells, ground water samples)and subsurface conditions may vary away from these data points No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional recommendations contained in this report • Advanced GeoEntilrenmental,Inc
