' Quart Report
(• Q y epo t 1997
STOCKTON PLATING
' 632 South El Dorado Street, Stockton, California 4
' 1.0 INTRODUCTION -
In accordance with the request of Stockton Plating,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,lInc (AGE) has
r prepared this Quarterly Report of ground water monitoring activities performed at 632 South El ,
Dorado Street, Stockton, California (the site) This report details the collection of ground water
' samples from the site on 08 September 1997 and the results of the laboratory analyses of the
samples The site and its surroundings are illustrated in Figure I -Location Map The locations of
structures and monitoring wells on the site are depicted in Figure 2 - Site Plan
Ij
' Monitoring and sampling were performed in accordance with guidelines established by the San
Joaquin County Public Health Services-Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD)and the Central
' Valley Regional,Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) for investigation of,underground
storage tank (UST) saes
' Background Information, including details of previous site assessment work, was presented to the
March 1996 Quarterly Reports dated 05 April 1996 and In the Corrective Action Plan - December
1995, prepared by AGE
2.0 PROCEDURES
2 1 MONITORING WELL PURGING PROCEDURES
On 0$ September 1997, a Sollnst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water
in all monitoring wells (MW-1 through MW-5) and vapor wells screened in ground water (VW-1
Ethrough VW-4) at the site The relative ground water elevation in each monitoring well and the
hydraulic gradient were determined from these data points
After ground water depth measurements, a Inrmmum of three well volumes of water were removed
from wells MW-3; MW-4 and MW-5 and-VW-1 through VW-4 using a submersible pump
Approximately 6 to 8 gallons of water were removed from each two-Inch diameter well (MW-4, w
MW75 and VW-I through VW-4) and 45 gallons of water were removed from well MW-3, a four-
inch diameter well, stabilizing temperature, pH, and conductivity, which were measured In purged
water at regular purge volume intervals using an ICM water analyzer Monitoring well stabilization
data and field data sheets are included In Appendix A Purged water was stored on-site in labeled
55-gallon drums
,
Advanced GeoEm Lronmental,Inc
