Information
regarding the investigation summarized above was reported by
Condor (Prelsmsnary Investigation and Evaluation Report, October
10, 1991) .
3.0 PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK
The work proposed for this investigation includes drilling,
installation and sampling of three ( 3) monitor wells at the SPI
site (Appendix A, Figure 2 , Proposed Monitor Well Locations) .
The wells will be placed in a triangular pattern around the
former location of the tanks to investigate the vertical and
lateral extent of soil and possible groundwater contamination and
to determine the groundwater gradient. A Health and Safety Plan
has been prepared and is included with this work plan (Appendix
B) . Monitor well permits will be obtained from San Joaquin
County prior to drilling. The field and laboratory work proposed
for this investigation are outlined in detail below.
3.1 Drilling and Soil Sampling
The monitor wells will be drilled by Spectrum Exploration,
Inc . , of Stockton, California, (C57 license #512268) , under the
supervision of a Condor geologist. The Underground Service Alert
f (USA) will be notified at least 48 hours prior to drilling
• operations.
