� I <br /> Ground Water Extraction Feasibility Work Plan <br /> Former STOCKTON PLATING Facility <br /> 632 South E1 Dorado Street, Stockton, California <br /> At the request of Mr Richard Leland, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared a <br /> ground water extraction feasibility work plan for the site located at 632 South El Dorado Street, <br /> Stockton, California (the site) The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 Site structures and well <br /> -locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br /> 2.0. , BACKGROUND <br /> r ' <br /> General background and remedial alternatives were presented in Corrective Action Plan -September <br /> 1995, additional soil and ground water analytical data has been included in subsequent quarterly <br /> reports <br /> 2 1 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is located along Scotts Avenue in a relatively flat area of southwest Stockton, immediately <br /> south of Mormon Slough and east of the El Dorado Street overpass Local land use in the vicinity <br /> of the site is industrial and commercial Residential areas are located approximately one-quarter <br /> mile south and east of the site <br /> 22 UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> AGE has been informed that,two underground storage tanks (USTs) were removed from the <br /> property one 1,000-gallon leaded gasoline UST was removed from the site in August 1986 and one <br /> 2,000-gallon unleaded gasoline UST was removed from the site in 1990 Petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> were detected in soil samples collected from beneath both USTs at the time of removals Results <br /> of the UST removals were summarized in reports prepare&by American Environmental Management <br /> Corporation (AEMC, 6 October 1986) and Condor Earth Technologies, Inc (CET, 2 January 199 1) <br /> 2 3 SITE ASSESSMENT/INSTALLATION OF GROUND WATER MONITORING WELLS <br /> 4 Over the assessment period, a total of eight ground water monitoring wells, numerous soil borings <br /> and soil vapor sampling points have been installed at the site, to assess the vertical and lateral extent <br /> of impacted soil and ground water The following is a summary of milestone events at the site <br /> • In September 1991, six soil borings were drilled at the site Significant mass of hydrocarbons <br /> were detected in soil samples analyzed <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,I n4 <br /> s <br /> z , <br /> .. s <br /> x ' <br /> t f I x n r <br />
