FIELD PROCEDURES, <br /> All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California <br /> Registered Geologist Procedures for the well installation, well development, dedicated low-flow <br /> pimp installation, dedicated pressure transducer installation are detailed below <br /> 4 1 PILOT SOIL BORING <br /> . Two soli pilot borings will be established at the site to a maximum depth of 60 feet bsg utilizing a <br /> truck-mounted hollow-stem drill rig with 8 25-inch and 15-inch diameter hollow-stem augers for the <br /> ground water extraction well construction The 8 25-inch augers will be utilized to advance the initial <br /> pilot boring to 60 feet bsg and to collect soil samples The boring will then be enlarged to total depth <br /> utilizing the 15-inch augers Cuttings generated during drilling will be placed in DOT-approved <br /> 55-gallon drums Rinseate will be containerized In properly labeled DOT-approved 55-gallon drums, <br /> and stored on-site in an area lacking public access Disposal alternatives will be evaluated based on <br /> a <br /> results of soil and water analysis <br /> 4 2 SOIL SAMPLE COLLECTION "r <br /> Soil 'samples will be collected'at 5,foot intervals from 10 feet bsg to total depth using a California <br /> split-spoon sampler d brass sleeves The sampler will be driven by dropp <br /> aning a 140-pound weight <br /> from a height of 30 Inches The number of blows required to drive each 6-mch length of the sampler <br /> (blow counts) will be recorded on boring logs compiled by an AGE staff geologist <br /> Upon sample retrieval, the leading brass sleeve will be removed from the sampler The ends of the <br /> sleeve will be immediately covered with Teflon sheets and sealed with plastic end caps secured with <br /> tape The preserved samples will,then be immediately placed under ice in a chilled container for <br /> transportation to a state-certified laboratory Each soil sample sleeve will be labeled with boring <br /> location, vertical depth, sampling time,date and sampler's Initials The preserved soil samples will <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmentA,Inc <br /> t <br /> , <br />
