INTRODUCTION <br />' At the request of Mr Richard Leland of R and L Business Management of Stockton, Advanced <br /> GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this ground water monitoring well installation report <br /> for 632 South El Dorado Street, Stockton, California (the site) during the January 2000 <br />! w additional monitoring wells durm December 1999 and <br /> This report documents the Installation of o g g <br />' later in January 2000 'The site setting is illustrated in Figure 1 The locations of structures and <br /> monitoring wells on ithe site are depicted in Figure 2 <br /> Background information, including details of previous site assessment work, was presented in <br />' Corrective Action Plan - December 1995, dated 15 November 1995, and in Quarterly Report - <br /> March 1996, dated 05 April 1996, and in Quarterly Report -June 1998, dated September 1998, all <br />' prepared by AGE <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> Sampling of soil borings and installation of monitoring wells were performed in accordance with <br />' guidelines established by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) <br /> and by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Envir"onmental Health Division (PHS- <br /> EHD) In addition; field work was conducted in accordance with the PHS-EHD-approved work plan <br />' Installation of Depth Discrete Wells, dated 10 December 1999 <br />' 2 1 DRILLING AND SAMPLING <br /> f <br /> On 16 and 17 December 1999, two pilot soil borings were advanced for completion as ground <br />' monitoring wells Upon completion of the wells, AGE determined that the sanitary seal (grout) had <br /> penetrated the transition seal (bentonite) and infiltrated the sand filter pack This necessitated the <br />' remstallmg the wells and abandonment of the remaining; exposed blank casing <br /> 1 + <br /> On 10, 11 and 12 of January 2000, two replacement pilot borings were advanced at the site The <br /> borings were advanced using a CME-55HT drill rig, equipped with 8 25-inch diameter-hollow-stem <br />' augers The borings were completed as monitoring wells MW7 and MWS The drill rig and two-man <br /> crew were supplied by Cal-Nev Geo-Exploration of Rancho Cordova, California Auger returns <br />' generated by drilling were stored on-site on plastic, pending laboratory analysis <br /> Advanced GeoEnwronmental,Inc <br /> A <br />
