r23 April 2002 <br /> i AGE-NC Project No 95-0142 <br />' Page 8 of 16 <br /> the influent and effluent of the treatment system, depth to ground water and operational parameters <br />' (ground water flow meters, fluid level sensors, total flow indicators, LEL Indicators) will be <br /> monitored daily to ensure optimal removal of dissolved hydrocarbons <br /> 3 7 MONITORING AND MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES <br /> Ground water flow totalizers, fluid level sensors, total flow indicators and LEL indicators will <br /> continuously monitor the ground water extraction system <br /> Ground water samples from the pump and treat system's influent,effluent and intermediate treatment <br /> stages will be collected on a weekly basis for the first month and monthly thereafter and submitted <br /> to a State of California Department of Health Services (DHS)-certified laboratory for analysis for <br /> the following constituents <br /> • Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-g) in accordance with EPA <br /> Method 8015 Modified, <br />' • Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX) and methyl tert-butyl ether <br /> (MTBE) in accordance with EPA Method 8020, <br /> • Five metals Cd, Cr, Cu,Pb,Ni and Zn in accordance with EPA Method 200 Modified and <br /> 1 pH in accordance with EPA Method 150 1 <br /> tLaboratory reports for ground water analysis,testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality <br /> control(QA/QC)reports,and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in quarterly <br /> t reports <br /> Ground water treatment operational parameters will be monitored at a minimum of once a week to <br /> monitor cleanup progress and adherence to discharge requirements The ground water treatment <br /> system will be maintained on a weekly basis according to manufacturers recommendations <br /> 3 8 INSTALLATION OF SOIL VAPOR EXTRACTION AND PIPING SYSTEM <br /> The SVE system was proposed to reduce petroleum hydrocarbon mass from the petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon-Impacted soil at the site In order to maximize the efficiency of the clean-up efforts, a <br /> 24-hour operation of the system is planned A destruction rate of 95% of hydrocarbon vapors <br /> produced is expected throughout the entire cleanup duration The system will be enclosed within a <br />' fenced area for security{Figure 4a} <br /> • Advanced GeoEnvrconmental,Inc <br />
