WARNING: It is the installer's responsibility to follow all appropriate NFPA, <br /> OSHA, and governmental safety precautions The following Information has <br /> been provided as guidelines for tank use and installation It does not address <br /> safety issues which may be present at specific tank Installation sites Use <br /> appropriate safety practices when handling any tank and/or using heavy <br /> equipment <br /> 1 TANK LOADING, UNLOADING, AND POSITIONING <br /> 1 1 HORIZONTAL TANKS <br /> 1 1 1 Tanks shall be wrapped if ordered by the customer <br /> 1 12 Tanks should be hand carved, moved with a handling cart, or moved with a forklift with protected <br /> or rounded fork extensions (to prevent sharp forks from damaging tanks and to provide adequate <br /> support for the tank as it is being moved) <br /> 1 13 Tanks should be loaded and unloaded from a horizontal position in the truck with a minimal <br /> amount of sliding The tank shall be hand camed, moved with a handling cart, or moved with a <br /> forklift with protected or rounded fork extensions to minimize sliding <br /> 1 1 4 Tanks should be loaded or unloaded from a dock of proper height or with a forklift with protected <br /> or rounded fork extensions NEVER drop a tank off of a track onto the ground since this <br /> may damage the tank and void the warranty. <br /> 1 15 Upon arrival at the destination, the,purchaser and/or his agent shall be responsible for inspection for <br /> dama a in transit If damage has occurred or parts are missing, the 13urchaser should <br /> document this on the bill of lading,file a claim witb the carrier, and notLfy the manufacturer priQr <br /> to-putting the tank into service <br /> 12 SMALL VERTICAL TANKS (LESS THAN 2000 GALLON CAPACITY) <br /> '1121 Tanks shall be wrapped if ordered by the customer <br /> 1 2 2 Tanks should be hand carried,moved with a handling cart, or moved with a forklift with protected <br /> or rounded fork extensions (to prevent sharp forks from damaging tanks and to provide adequate <br /> support for the tank as it is being moved) <br /> 1 2 3 Tanks should be loaded and unloaded from a horizontal or vertical position in the truck with a <br /> minimal amount of sliding The tank shall be hand carried, moved with a handling cart, or <br /> moved with a forklift with protected or rounded fork extensions to minimize sliding <br /> 1 2 4 Tanks should be loaded or unloaded from a dock of proper height or with a forklift with protected <br /> or rounded fork extensions NEVER drop a tank off of a truck onto the ground since this <br /> may damage the tank and void the warranty. <br /> 1 2 5 Upon arrival at the destination the purchaser and/or his agent shall be responsible for inspection <br /> for damage in transit If damage has occurred or 12arts are missing-the purchaser should document <br /> this on the bill of lading,file a c1gim with the carrier and notiffy the manufacturer priorto putting the <br /> tank into-service <br />
