INTRODUCTION # ", f'iil
sMAtl'the request of Mr Richard Leland of R and LiBusmess Management of Stockton, Advanced = , Av.14"
;s
GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this report for 632 South El Dorado Street, Stockton,
' = California (the site) This report documents soil and ground water extraction activities cnducted _or
between August and November 2004 The site, setting is illustrated on Figure 1 The locations of
i structures and monitoring wells on-site are depicted on Figure 2 1
r «I 5
Background information, including details of previous site assessment work is presented in
' Appendix A Results from previous ground water monitoring events are included in the tables of this ;
a -report
e
2.0. PROCEDURES ^ r
' All field work was performed in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board(CVRWQCB)guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tank'(UST)sites Soil-
'• vapor and ground water extractions were performed in accordance with procedures outlined in the
AGE-prepared Final Remediation Plan, dated 23 April 2002 and the AGE-prepared Final
Remediation Plan Addendum; dated 18 July 2003 and approved by the EHD on 29 July 2003 Field
' procedures for soil-vapor and ground water sampling are described below „'rc
, ' t
2-1 - SOIL-VAPOR EXTRACTION
r I j
{,A stand alone soil-vapor extractions stem (VES) or SVE vacuum pump (re enerative'blower)
model Puri VFC100P was connected to the SVE network and started operation on 30 July 2004 The
. ' SVE,unit operated at,a rate,of 24 hours a day during the quarter, however, a one month operational , r
' 'hiatus was conducted pnor'to the October sampling to measure soil~vapor concentration rebound
response r
EI
i L
The system was monitored monthly`and inspected or maintained weekly during operation During '
' each monitoring event, the flow rate of extracted soil-vapor (influent) was measured using an air
flow meter (Blue White 200 cubic feet per minute efm) Vacuum potential was measured at the
`3-inch influent linetusmg a magnehelic vacuum gauge The' organic-vapor,concentration in the
' extracted soil-vapor stream was measured after exiting the SVE blower using an organic vapor meter ,
(OVM) equipped with a with detector PID (Thermo Environmental 580B, 10 OeV,
' calibrated,to isobutylene, 100 ppb) '
,
r' Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc
J a al w
i
