PROCEDURES Y <br /> All field work was performed in'accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> I Board(CVRWQCB)guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tank(UST)sites Soil- <br /> vapor and ground water extractions were performed in accordance with procedures outlined in the <br /> AGE-prepared Final Remediation Plan, dated 23 April 2002 and the AGE-prepared Final <br />' Remediation Plan Addendum, dated 18 July 2003 and approved by the EHD on 29 July 2003 <br /> Field procedures for soil-vapor and ground water sampling are described below <br /> 21 SOIL VAPOR EXTRACTION ' <br /> A Solleco-manufactured EnvioPure 250 catalytic-oxidizer soil-vapor extraction system (VES) has <br /> + been in operation since December 2003 The system was monitored monthly and inspected or <br /> maintained weekly during operation During each monitoring event, the flow rate of extracted soil-, <br /> vapor(influent)was measured using an electrical DPT flow meter Vacuum potential was measured <br /> at the 2 5-inch influent line using a magnehelic vacuum gauge The organic-vapor concentration in <br /> 1 the extracted soil-vapor stream was measured before entering the blower(influent stream)and after <br /> exiting the catalytic unit (effluent stream) using an organic vapor meter (OVM) equipped with a <br /> ` photo-ionization detector PID (Thermo Environmental 580B, 10 OeV, calibrated to isobutylene, <br /> Iw 100 ppb) <br /> A total of six sets of soil-vapor samples were collected dunng the two quarter of operation (second <br /> If <br /> and third quarters 2004) Influent and effluent soil vapor samples were collected from the catalytic <br /> oxidizer on 27 April,JS May, 22 June and',22 July, in Tedlar vapor bags using a vacuum pump <br /> n <br /> � Advanced GeoEnviro n mental,Inc <br /> I 1 , <br /> , <br /> Wt , <br /> 1 , <br />
