15 April 2006 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 95-0142 <br /> Page 5 of 5 <br /> TK1-90,at a depth interval between 10 and 40 feet bsg,ground water remediation efforts are <br /> directed in this area, soil vapor extraction has been discontinued at the site <br /> • The ground water pump-and-treat system was in operation during the fourth quarter 2005 and <br /> the first quarter 2006, except for short periods for system repairs Approximately 946,735 <br /> gallons of water were processed, AGE estimates that an average of 4,931 gallons of water <br /> were discharged per day during this time <br /> • Based on the amount of ground water processed and laboratory analytical results, <br /> approximately 100 9 lbs of TPH-g and 13 3 lbs of benzene were removed from the extracted <br /> ground water during the fourth quarter 2005 and the first quarter 2006 To date, a total of <br /> approximately 23 8 lbs of TPH-g and 3 3 75 lbs of benzene have been extracted from ground <br /> water <br /> i <br /> 4.0. RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> Based upon the results of the remediation activities to date, AGE recommends <br /> o Continuation of ground water remediation with a possible addition of extraction vapor wells <br /> VW-2, VW-3 and VW-4 <br /> • Continuation of the quarterly ground water monitoring program <br /> 5.0.
