PENDIX <br /> Site Background Information <br /> Former STOCKTON PLATING Facility <br /> 632 South El Dorado, Stockton, California <br /> BACKGROUND <br />' The site Is located along Scotts Avenue in a relatively flat area of southwest Stockton, immediately <br /> south of Mormon Slough and east of the El Dorado Street overpass Local land use in the vicinity <br />' of the site is Industrial and commercial Residential areas are located approximately one-quarter mile <br /> south and cast of the site <br /> µ GROUND WATER DEPTH AND FLOW DIRECTION R _ <br />' Based on a review of the Lanes of Equal Depth to Groundwater Spring 1998 map published by the <br /> San Joaquin County Flood Control District and Water Conservation District (FCD&WCD), the <br /> estimated depth to ground water at the site is 45 feet bsg Review of the map Lines of Equal <br />' Elevation of Groundwater Sprang 1998(FCD&WCD)Indicated that the regional ground water flow <br /> direction in the area to be towards the northwest and west Between May 1995,and the present time, <br /> depth to ground water at the site has risen from 50 feet bsg to 25 feet bsg, with a general ground <br /> water flow direction towards the east Ground water elevation contour maps for the site have been <br /> lie included in previous quarterly reports prepared by AGE <br /> Review of previous ground water monitoring at the site and historical depth to ground water maps <br /> (FCD&WCD)dating back to 1971 suggested that ground water depth near the site has been as deep <br /> as 60 feet bsg <br /> UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br />' AGE has been informed that two underground storage tanks (USTs) were removed from the <br /> property One 1,000-gallon leaded gasoline UST was removed from the site in August 1986 and one <br /> 1 2,000-gallon unleaded gasoline UST was removed from the site in 1990 Petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> were detected in soil samples collected from beneath both USTs at the time of the removals Results <br /> of the UST removals were summarized in reports prepared by American Environmental <br />' Management Corporation(AEMC, 6 October 1986)and Condor Earth Technologies, Inc (CET,2 <br /> January 1991) <br />' SITE ASSESSMENT/INSTALLATION OF GROUND WATER MONITORING WELLS <br /> Since 1990,a total of eight groundwater monitoring wells,multiple soil bonngs/soil vapor sampling <br /> locations and four soil vapor extraction wells have been installed at the site to develop a hydrologic <br /> • <br />' Advanced GeoEnvnronmental,Inc <br />
