RECRYED <br /> 1714 Main Street FEB 0 5 2004 <br /> Escalon,California 95320-1927 <br /> Telephone (209)838-9888 ENVIRONMENT HEALTH <br /> Facsimile (209)838-9883 PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> February 4, 2004 <br /> Ms Lori Duncan <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, CA 95202 <br /> Subject Third Quarter 2003 Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> 640 N El Dorado Street, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Ms Duncan <br /> This letter report presents the results of flin d quarter 2003 groundwater monitoring and sampling activities <br /> at the subject site(Figure I} <br /> 10 SITE ACTIV11 IIES <br /> Activities at the site included <br /> • • Removing free product from well MW3, <br /> • Monitoring water level elevations in all site wells, <br /> Purging wells MW1 through MW7 and monitoring pH, temperature and electrical conductivity of <br /> groundwater, <br /> Collecting groundwater samples fiom wells MWi through MW7, <br /> o Analyzing groundwater samples fbi volatile organic compounds (VOCs), including oxygenated gasoline <br /> additives and benzene,toluene, ethylbenzene,xylenes (BTEX) <br /> 2.0 FIELD WORK <br /> 2.1 Free Product Measurement and Recovery <br /> A Ground Zero technician measured and removed free product from well MW3 periodically during the <br /> reporting period The thickness of measured product during the reporting period ranged from a high of 0 23 <br /> feet on July 14, 2003 to not measurable on September 16, 2003 The average measured product thickness <br /> between July 1, 2003 and September 30, 2003 was 0 13 feet Approximately 3 6 gallons of product and <br /> product/water mixture was removed from wel I MW3 during the reporting period utilizing a passive skimmer <br /> and by manually bailing the product fiom the well A passive skimmer was installed in well MW3 on April <br /> 28,2003 to remove free product <br /> The waste was stored on site in accordance with 49 CFR part 172 and 40 CFR part 262 Table 1 <br /> summarizes product thickness measuiemcnts and product removed Field notes associated with product <br /> bailing, including a chart showing the measured product thickness in the well over time are included in <br /> Attachment 1 <br /> G 1GROUNDZEIGABBARDIreports�QMR1200313QM20U 1 lloc <br />
