FINDINGS
Ground water flow direction and gradient were inferred from data collected in the field, the
hydrocarbon impact to ground water was quantified by the laboratory data obtained from the ground
water samples
I
41 GROUNDWATER ELEVATION AND GRADIENT
The elevation of ground water in each well was calculated b subtracting the depth to ground water
 Y g p
from the surveyed casing elevations (Table 1) Ground water was within the screened intervals in
all five wells
f Depths to ground water ranged from 22 51 feet to 23 62 feet as measured from the top of the well
casings Ground water elevations at the site ranged from 12 41 feet below mean sea level(MSL) in
MW5 to 13 81 feet below MSL in MW2 The ground water elevation at the site increased an average
of 0 97 feet between the November 2001 and February 2002 monitoring events
The ground water gradient was calculated to be approximately 0 024 ft/ft with a southwesterly flow
direction The ground water elevation contours are depicted on Figure 2
Advanced GeoEnvnronmental,Inc
