INTRODUCTION <br />' At the request of Mr Charles Skobrak of Charlie's Day and Nite,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> (AGE) has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at 706 North El Dorado Street, <br /> Stockton,California Quarterly groundwater monitoring was conducted on 22 August 2001'The site <br />' location and the surrounding area are illustrated in Figure 1 Structures as well as boring and <br /> monitoring well locations are illustrated on Figure 2 Background information is summarized in the <br /> AGE-prepared Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report - March 1999, dated 26 March <br /> 1999 <br />' 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> Field work was performed in accordance with guidelines established by the California Regional <br />' Water Quality Control Board-Central Valley Division far investigation of underground storage tank <br /> (UST)sites Ground water monitoring procedures were performed as outlined in the AGE-prepared <br /> Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan dated 29 July 1999, as approved by the PHS-EHD by letter <br /> dated 03 August 1999 <br /> 2 1 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES <br />' On 22 August 2001, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in, <br /> the three wells(MW1,MW2 and MW3)relative to the tops of the well casings The relative ground <br /> water elevations and gradient were determined from these data (Table 1) <br /> After the depth--to-ground water measurements were collected,the monitoring wells were purged of <br /> standing water using a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) bailer Approximately 6 gallons of water, a <br /> minimum of,3 casing-water volumes were removed from the monitoring wells Ground water <br /> temperature,pH and conductivity were measured at approximately 1-gallon intervals during purging <br /> using a Hydac water analyzer Field sheets and data are included in Appendix A Purged water was <br />' stored on site in labeled, 55-gallon DOT-approved drums <br /> I <br /> ' I r t .. <br /> 2 2 COLLECTION OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> 1 <br /> I , <br /> Water samples were collected from each purged well using new disposable plastic bailers Each <br />' water sample was transferred into three 40-m1 VOA vials containing 0 5 ml 18%hydrochloric acid <br /> . as a sample preservative After collection, the samples were properly labeled, placed in a chilled <br /> L <br /> � Advanced GeaEnviranmental,inc <br /> , <br /> 1 <br /> !
