Box 5004
San Ramon CA 94583
Subject: Groundwater Monitoring Report
Chevron Facility No. 9-0342
1347 South EI Dorado
Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Rogers:
This letter report has been prepared for Chevron U.S.A., Inc. (Chevron) and summarizes the results of
F routine groundwater monitoring and sampling performed by-Groundwater Technology, Inc. at the above-
referenced site.
The four monitoring wells at this Chevron facility were monitored on October 29, 1991, to-determine
depth-to-groundwater (DTW), hydraulic gradient, and to check for the presence of separate-phase
hydrocarbons. Figure 1 shows well locations and groundwater potentiometric surface lines. The
` calculated gradient is .001 ft/ft and slopes to the northeast.
After measuring the DTW, the four monitoring wells were purged and sampled on October.29, 1991. All
of the groundwater samples were analyzed for the presence of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes
(BTEX), and total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH)-as-gasoline. Table 1 presents a summary of the
current and historical groundwater monitoring data and analytical result's.' Copies of the analytical
reports are attached.
f
The purge water from all wells was contained.in 55-gallon steel drums, labeled, and stored on site. A
Chevron representative was notified, so that the collection of the purge water could be coordinated.
Collection of this purge water is.scheduled for November 1991.
Offices throughout the U.S.,Canada and Overseas
