Tank removal and soil <br /> sampling was witnessed by representatives of the Stockton Fire Department and <br /> the San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Division. <br /> The excavation was approximately 10 foot wide by 13 foot long by 4 foot <br /> deep. An estimated total of 15 cubic yards of soil was removed and placed in <br /> two small on-site stockpiles. The sample was then labeled, placed in a <br /> rted to <br /> cooler on blue ice, entered on a Chain-of-Custody form an a is tep-ocertified <br /> Western Environmental Science and Technology (WEST), <br /> analytical laboratory located in Davis, California. <br /> Stockpile samples were collected by removing the top 6 to 12 inches of soil, <br /> then. gushing the tube into the soil This method was repeated three times on <br /> the same stockpile until the tube is completely full. It was then handled as <br /> : described above. <br /> Ex v ti n mlin <br /> One excavation sample (CW-1) was collected from beneath the waste oil tank at <br /> a depth of approximately 6 feet below grade (Plate 3). The sample was <br /> analyzed for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons calculated as Gasoline g?H- <br /> Gasoline), Diesel (TPH-Diesel) and Oil (TPH-Oil) according to EPA Method <br /> 8015 (Modified), Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene and Xylenes (BTEX) <br /> according to EQA Method 8020, Ha;ogenatztl Solvents (Cl HC) according to <br /> t EPA,:.vIethod 8010, Oil and Grease (O&G) according to AS YM Method 5520 <br /> ICAP Metals by atomic absorption* (EPA Method 7000) and Semi-Volatile <br /> Organic Priority Pollutants according to EPA Method 8270. <br /> 729501-1 <br />
