June 13, 1997 <br /> Page 2 <br /> Slough, located approximately 0 5 miles north of the site Groundwater has been <br /> reported to flow to the east and northeast at an approximate gradient of 0 002 for the <br /> past four quarters <br /> Subsurface Conditions - <br /> The site is situated in the Central Valley Physiographic Province near the margin of the <br /> lowlands of the Sacramento Delta Sediments underlying the site consist of fine sandy <br /> silts and clays deposited in an interfingenng alluvial and estuarine or lacustrine <br /> environment These sediments are of considerable thickness (measured in thousands of <br /> feet) In August 1990, groundwater was encountered during drilling at approximately <br /> 47 feet below ground surface(bgs) and stabilized at approximately 40 feet bgs <br /> SENSITIVE RECEPTOR SURVEY <br /> Area Business and Property Survey <br /> PACIFIC contracted VISTA Information Solutions, Inc , (VISTA) for a search of <br /> nearby properties that may have site impact potential (VISTA, April 17, 1997) A copy <br /> of the VISTA map showing all sites within a one mile radius of the subject site listed on <br /> the various environmental agency databases is included as Attachment B A total of 28 <br />.` Ieaking underground storage tank (LUST) sites were reported within 1/2-mile radius of <br /> the site Of the 28 sites, four sites were reported within a 1/4-mile radius of the site <br /> o Edison High School, 1425 South Center Street <br /> Substance Hydrocarbons <br /> Media affected Sod/Sand/Land <br /> Distance 0 04 miles, southwest of site <br /> Remedial Action Leak being confirmed(State and Regional LUST <br /> database) <br /> I <br /> • Fernando's Place, 1201 South Center Street <br /> Substance Gasoline Unspecified(State LUST) <br /> Gas/4i1/Mist (Regional LUST) <br /> Media affected Unknown <br /> Distance 0 05 miles, northwest ofsite <br /> Remedial Action Leak being confirmed(State and Regional LUST <br /> database) <br />• <br /> 9201036A/CLOSURE DOC � <br />
