The initial pilot test and the subsequent vapor extraction under xnter3-m variances removed 13 ,116 pounds of hydrocarbons from the E soil and ground water beneath the site. Vapor recovery is � i occurring from three areas of past documented soil contamination , the tank field excavation (EX ) , the eastern product dispenser island (P1 ) and the western product dispenser island (P3-Swarm) . ' Also various ground water monitoring wells are utilized , specifically MW1 and MW5 with occasional use of MW3 , see Table 1 . VAPOR RECOVERY RESULTS N The vadose zone vapor recovery wells (P1 , P3-Soarm and EX ) f contributed little to the total recovered hydrocarbons during the operation of the vapor recovery system under the variances , P1 = 1 . 3 pounds , P3-Swarm = 561 . 4 pounds and EX = 127 pounds , see Table 2. The ground water monitora-ng wells have produced the ma3ority of the hydrocarbons recovered at this site during the operation of the system prior to the authority to construct: MW1 - 2464 . 25 pounds , MW3 = 11 . 53 pounds , and MW5 = 8394 . 91 pounds As of July 29 , 1992 , the total system has recovered a calculated total of 13970 . 09 pounds of hydrocarbons , 854 . 09 of which have been produced since the beginning of operations under the Authority to Construct. As of July 21 , 1992 , the date it was destroyed, P1 had produced 2 .96 pounds of hydrocarbons or an additional 1 . 63 pounds since the beginning of operation under the Authority to Construct. see Table 1 . VSB5 was added to Vapor extraction well P3-Swarm on 7/27/92 . The swarm in combination with VSB5 has produced 596 . 24 pounds of hydrocarbons , an additional 34 . 84 pounds since operation under the F Authority to Construct , these wells are currently producing <0 .04 pounds per day , see Table 1 . Vapor extraction well EX has produced 131 . 31 pounds of a hydrocarbons , an additional 4 . 18 pounds since operation under the Authority to Construct , this well was shut down on 7/24/92 see Table 1 . As of July 24 , 1992 , MW1 had produced a total of 2534 pounds , of which 69 . 75 pounds have been produced during operations under the Authority to Construct . MW1 was shut down on 7/24/92 . As of July 24 , 1992 , MW5 has produced a total of 9029 . 22 pounds , of which 634 . 31 pounds have been produced during operations under the Authority to Construct .
