UPDATE 28 8-02-94
INTRODUCTION
This report includes the results of events occurring at this site
from June 14 through July 21, 1994
LOCATION
Regal Station 604 (parcel # 139-020--08) is located at 1448 N El
Dorado and Harding Way, Stockton, San Joaquin County, California
The site is in projected section 2 ; T1N, R6E, MDB&M at
approximately 14 feet above mean, sea level Initial drilling
(November, 1989) encountered ground water at approximately 32
feet below sea level (47' below the surface) with a flow
direction to the east southeast, see Figures 1, 2 , and 3
SITE ACTIVITIES
WEGE personnel visited and/or monitored the site on July 1, 12,
and 21, 1994 During the July 1 and 12, 1994 visit the vapor
extraction system (VES) was sampled and the results were used to
update the Fate Modeling presented in the June 1, 1994 Site
Closure Request, see Appendix A The scheduled July 21, 1994
site visit obtained quarterly ground water samples and VES
influent/effluent samples . These samples were chain of custody
delivered to American Environmental Network, Inc (AEN) for
analysis using EPA method 8020/5030, TPHg/BTEX Laboratory
results indicated the absence of gasoline range hydrocarbons and
BTEX' s in the ground water and an absence of Benzene, Toluene,
and Ethylbenzene in the vapor stream, see Tables 1 and 3 and
Appendix B - Laboratory Reports and Field Notes .
RESULTS - WATER
GROUND WATER GRADIENT
The ground water gradient maps have been produced from
measurements obtained on February 16, and July 21 , 1994 , see
Figures 4A and 4B
Figure 4A, February 16, 1994 depth to water measurements were
obtained with the vacuum system being off since December 30,
1993 These measurements indicate a recharge to the area, with a
ridge forming from MW7 towards MW5
Figure 4B, July 21, 1994 depth to water measurements were
obtained with the vacuum system on since February 16, 1994
These measurements show a potentiometric low forming at MW5 , in
the area of greatest vacuum influence Overall depth to water
measurements indicate that ground water recharge is still
occurring to the area, see Table 2 and Appendix B
page2
