R604 •UPDATE 23 10-20-1993
INTRODUCTION
t
This report includes the results of events occurring at this site
from August 30, through October 6, 1993 . The quarterly ground
water monitoring occurred on September 15, 1993 .
LOCATION
Regal Station 604 (parcel # 139-020-08) is located at 1448 N E1
Dorado and Harding Way, Stockton, San Joaquin County, California.
The site is in projected section 2; T1N; R6E; MDB&M at
approximately 14 feet above mean sea level . Initial drilling
(November, 1989) encountered ground water at approximately 32
feet below sea level (47' below the surface) and flowing an an
east to southeasterly direction, see figures 1, 2 , and 3 .
SITE ACTIVITIES
WEGE personnel visited and/or monitored the site on September 15,
29 and October 6, 1993 . During the September 15 visit quarterly
ground water sampling occurred. The vapor extraction system,
which is pulsing, was in the off status during this visit
On September 29, 1993 , samples of the vapor extraction systems
influent and effluent were obtained and again on October 6, 1993
samples were obtained from the influent, effluent along with the
extraction wells VSB3 , VSB5, VSB9, VSB11 and MW5 . At this time
vacuum influence measurements were obtained from the well heads
of selected ground water and vadose monitoring wells, see Table 3
and Appendix A.
UPDATE STATUS REPORT #23
RESULTS - WATER
GROUND WATER GRADIENT
The ground water gradient maps have been produced from
measurements obtained on August 20 and September 15, 1993 , see
Figures 4A and 4B.
Figure 4A, August 20, 1993 depth to water measurements obtained
during vacuum system operation, show a relatively fiat depression
has formed at MW5 with a small ridge trending from MW1 towards
MW2 , creating flow towards MW5 and MW4 Depth to ground water
measurements show a rise in ground water elevation as compared to
the previous month, Table 2 .
Figure 4B, September 15 , 1993 depth to water measurements
obtained when vacuum system was off, show a steep ridge developed
from MW7 towards MW1, with flow towards MW2 and MW4
TOTAL PETROLEUM HYDROCARBONS
f
Floating Product: No floating product has ever been observed in
any of the monitoring wells or borings at this site .
page 1
