.INTRODUCTION R604 :UPDATE 21 9--1-1993
f
This report includes the results of events occurring at this site
. from July 7 to July 19, 1993 The monthly monitoring occurred on
July 19, 1993 . At that time the carbon was exchanged on one 85
carbon scrub unit
LOCATION
Regal Station 604 (parcel # 139-020-08) is located at 1448 N E1
Dorado and Harding Way, Stockton, San Joaquin County, California
The site is in pro3ected section 2, T1N, R6E; MDB&M at
approximately 14 feet above mean sea level Initial drilling
(November, 1989) encountered ground water at approximately 32
feet below sea level (47' below the surface) and flowing in an
east to southeasterly direction, see figures 1, 2 , and 3 .
SITE ACTIVITIES
WEGE personnel visited and/or monitored the site on July 19,
1993 At this time the activated carbon in the effluent 55
gallon carbon scrub was changed out with the fresh carbon that is
being stored at the site and the monthly vapor samples and
vacuum/depth to water sampling/monitoring occurred Lawrence
Tank Testing (LTT) has been contracted to visit the site once a
week and remove any condensate that has formed in the vacuum
laterals, carbon scrubs and pumps and to also check for
breakthrough of the carbon units, via odor. These site visits
were reduced from twice a week starting in June, 1993 , see
Appendix D. This condensate is removed to former Regal Station
• 603 and treated with the water treatment system at that site
LTT has recovered and removed one gallons of condensation water
from May 5 - June 28 , 1993
UPDATE STATUS REPORT #21
RESULTS - WATER
GROUND WATER GRADIENT
The ground water gradient map, Figure 4 , has been produced from
the July 19, 1993 depth to water measurements . These
measurements show a relatively flat ridge shaped gradient
trending from MW1 towards MW6 This ridge is more pronounced
south and east of MW5 and created troughs flowing from MWS north
and northeast towards MW4 and west towards MW3 Depth to ground
water measurements show a sudden drop in ground water elevation
and may represent the start of a discharge cycle for this area
TOTAL PETROLEUM HYDROCARBONS
Floating Product.
I
No floating product has ever been observed in any of the
monitoring wells or borings at this site .
•
page 1
