• B.\WORKPLAN DOC <br /> 60-70 feet below sea level (75-85' below the surface) and should <br /> be flowing in a east to southeasterly direction. see figures 1. 2. <br /> 3 .arid 4. <br /> ITIS: <br /> Regal Station 604 has had the underground storage tanks and <br /> product dispensing piping removed. All excavated said has been <br /> stockpiled on site and covered with polyethylene liners to prevent <br /> uncontrolled areation and leaching of contaminants from the soil, <br /> in case of rain. <br /> VBGE obtained the required soil samples from the tank excavation <br /> and from the product line trenches, under the direct supervision <br /> of Carol Ox of San Joaquin County Public Health Services, figure <br /> 3B. Samples have also been obained from the excavated soil piles <br /> (per 25 cubic yards) in order to profile the soil for treatment <br /> (aeration if appropriate), figure 5. The samples obtained from <br /> the tank excavation and product line trenches were frozen on dry <br /> ice and chain of custody hand delivered to ChemTech (State <br /> Certified Laboratory #359) for analysis using SPA and DOHS methods <br /> 5030 (Purge and Trap Sample Preparation), 8015 (Total Extractable <br /> Petroleum Hydrocarbons-TPH), 8020 (BTEX-Benzene, Toluene, Ethyl <br /> Benzene and Xylenes), TEL (DOHS-LUFT-Tetraethyl Lead) and EDB <br /> (DOHS-AB 1803-Ethylene Dibromide). The excavated soil samples <br /> were analyzed using EPA methods 5030 and 8015.• See <br /> eaTa le I for sample results of the excavation and trench samples <br /> for the excavated soil piles samples, Appendix C. <br /> Wickland Properties (Regal Service Station parent company) has <br /> contracted WEGE to perform the required site assessment. WEGE is <br /> a Registered Geologist/Environmental Consulting Co. and is also a <br /> licensed C57 drilling contractor. This site will be assessed <br /> under Calif, Reg, Geol. # 3037 and C-57 licence #513857. <br /> T WBGB will assess the site under thq guidelines outlined in the May <br /> 1988 "Leaking Underground Fuel Tank Field Manual: guidelines for <br /> Site Assessment, Cleanup, and Underground Storage Tank Closure" by <br /> the State of California Leaking Underground Fuel Tank Task Force <br /> All samples will be obtained by a trained geologist working <br /> directly under the supervision of the above mentioned registered <br /> geologist. The samples will be collected, preserved, labeled and <br /> chain of custody hand delivered to CheWTech Analytical <br /> Laboratories. 3017 Kilgore Road 0110, Rancho Cordova, CA 95742 <br /> (916-635-3962). ChemTech is a State of California certified lab <br /> (#359}, �;il soil samples obtained from borings and/or excavti.ons <br /> Trill be analyzed using the following EPA and DOHS methods- <br /> for <br /> SQ30 <br /> for extraction. 8015-TPH, 8020-BTBX, DOHS-TSI. and EDB-DOHS-AB <br /> 1803 If initial sampling indicates that TEL and EDB does not <br /> exist at this site these analyses Will not be carried on to the <br /> next samples <br /> . 2 <br />
