Station
604, located a 1448 N. El Dorado Street, Stockton, California.
Dear Mr. Margowski;
As you requested Western Geo-Engineers (WEGE) sampled five hand
augered borings, one each beneath the product dispensing islands
(SB4, SB5, and SB6) tine in the planter at the intersection of El
Dorado Street and Harding (SB7) and one within the excavation
F ad3acent to the southeast si.dewall (EXB1) , see FIGURE 3 and TABLE
1. This work was performed under .he work plan dated December 27,
1989, and submitted to Ms. Ratliff of San Joaquin County
Environmental Health.
Also a ground water monitoring round was conducted on January 12,
1990, and aeration of excavated soil was ongoing, see APPENDIX C-
AERATION LOG.
GROUND WATER MONITORING
A ground water monitoring round was conducted on January 12, 1990.
During this visit depth to ground water was measured and samples
were obtained, from the four on site monitor wells, for chemical
analysis. r'rom this data a ground water gradlent map was
generated, FIGURE 4B and compared to the previous months ground
water gradient map, FIGURE 4A. Evident from the comparison of the
two figures are a similar ground water flow direction, from
monitor well MW-1 towards monitor well MW-2 to the southeast and
an increase in the ground water elevation, which ranges from 1.020
at monitor well MW-1 to 1.5' at monitor well MW-4, see TABLE 3.
CHEMICAL RESULTS-GROUND WATER SAMPLES
Ground water samples were obtained from all four on site monitor
wells on January 12, 1990 (MW-1, MW-2, MW--3, and MW-4) . Prior to
obtaining the ground water samples each well was purged of
approximately 10-15 gallons of water. This purged water is
p*-esently being stored on site in 17E 55 gallon drums.
Ground water beneath this site has minimal gasoline range
contamination. All wells are below the detection limits for Total
a
1
