• will be analyzed using the following EPA and DOHS methods: 50311
for extraction, 8015-TEH, and 9020-HT$%. Initial sampling shows
that TEL and EDB does not exist at this site these analyses will
not be carried on.
STORAGE OF DRILLING CUTTINGS, RINSATE AND ANY PURGED WATER FROM
BORINGS/MONITOR WELLS.
All rinsate produced from the cleaning of the drilling and
sampling equipment and/or the purging and sampling of the
borings/monitor wells will be contained on site in 17H Hazardous
Materials drums and label as gasoline contaminated material until
laboratory analyses indicate how these stored fluids shall be
handled.
All cuttings produced from the drilling and sampling activities,
that are not to be used for chemical and physical analysis, will
be placed with the SPI excavated soil piles and will be handled
with that soil.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
The borings will be continuously monitored with a LEL/02 meter and
the site periodically monitored with a hand held PI.n meter. All
personnel involved with this site have a current OSHA-SARA
Certificate of Training, see Appendix E-Health and Safety Plan.
The site, until found otherwise, is being treated as class D.
RE'COMMENMTIONSt
1. To locate, gain permission, permit, drill, construct, and
develop a ground water monitoring well southeast-south of the
property. This well will delineate the down gradient extent of
ground water contamination associated with the site.
2. Upon completion of the above drilling and the laboratory
analyses results, an Assessment Report will be finalized and
submitted along with the Remediation Action Plan.
3. To proceed with the design and permitting of a controlled
aeration treatment system for the excavated soil designated as
SP1, see Figures 7A-7C.
LIMI"'ATION.:
This report i, based upon the following:
A. The observations of field personnel.
B. The results of laboratory analyses performed by a state
certified laboratory.
C. Referenced documents.
36
