During this time frame initially two carbon scrubs were
placed on the exhaust of the moisture dropout, and once
breakthrough occurred to the #1 carbon a 3r,' scrub was added and
so on until all six carbon scrubs were activated onto the vapor
recovery system in series. The system, up and including this
time, had operated for a total of 238.5 hours or 9.9 days removing
approximately 1928 pounds of total petroleum hydrocarbons with an
accumulative removal, including the pilot test of 3088 pounds.
From initial start up on April 26 thru May 23, 2991, the "Cyclo
Purge" was used infront of the carbon as a condensate drop out
measure, to remove as much of the formation water produced in the
vapor stream and any hydrocarbons along with the water vapor. A
limited evaluation of the "Cyclo Purge" was made, and indicated
that limited gasoline range hydrocarbons were removed from the
vapor stream along with the majority of water vapor prior to
exhausting to the activated carbon scrubs, thus enhancing the life
+ of the carbon somewhat, see Appendix D. On May 22, vacuum
influence measurements were obtained, sea Figure 6C.
MAY 31, 1991
With the vapor extraction system still off, the "Cyclo Pruge" was
used to rejuvenate the carbon scrubs, instead of shipping them to
Cameron-Yakima for rejuvenation.
"o-0-01000,00%,
exha"Vvof -,a
, p °f$ o f.Iiatitha`cabinw to21<aF, =any,xf'hotr
s
page 9
