The purpose of the proposed work is to evaluate the vertical extent
of petroleum-related substances in groundwater beneath the site. This letter provides
proposed scope of work and schedule.
Y(
This work plan is being submitted based on the results of the recent submitted Quarterly
Summary and Monitoring Report— Third Quarter 2005 dated October 27, 2005 and verbal
discussions with the San Joaquin County Public Health Services (SJCPHS). YF
PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of work for this site assessment will include the drilling and installation of one
groundwater monitoring well to a depth of 180 feet below ground surface (bgs), onsite .
(Figure 1). Due to proposed site redevelopment (schedule and scope as yet
undetermined), the proposed drilling location may change. Site redevelopment plans will
be discussed with the SJCPHS as they become available, to ensure environmental goals
for the site are met. If needed, addenda will be submitted to this workplan to document '
changes in the scope of work, and any such proposed changes will not be implemented
until approved by the SJCPHS.
Two options are proposed relative to the method of well installation. SECOR is evaluating
the best available technology to proceed with this work plan with appropriate drilling s
contractors skilled in the individual drilling methods. The final selection will be documented
a•`
with the SJCPHS prior to mobilization to the field.
s
,x
The scope of work is discussed below: ?r
Site Specific Health and Safety Plan.
