' SIEC0R <br /> ISIECOM <br /> ' 6 0 ARCO STATION 4932, 16 EAST HARDING WAY, STOCKTON <br /> The ARCO service station, located at 16 East Harding Way, upgradient of the Former 76 station <br /> ' may be affecting groundwater concentrations within wells at the Former 76 Station The following <br /> is an outline of remedial efforts at ARCO 4932 <br /> 61 Soil Vapor and Groundwater Extraction <br /> 61 1 Soil Vapor Extraction ; <br /> ' SVE was started on June 14, 2003 The SVE portion of the DPE system is comprised of 6 SVE a , <br /> wells (SVE-1, SVE-2, MW-1, MW-2, MW-4, and EW-7) and a Thematech VAC 50 N, <br /> thermal/catalytic oxidizer (Cat-Ox) as the abatement device Approximately 53 pounds (lbs) of r, 3 <br /> 1 TPHg, 0 5 lbs of benzene, and 1 Ib of MtBE were removed during the second quarter 2005 An <br /> estimated 24,223 8 lbs of TPHg, 104 lbs of benzene, and 1,872 lbs of MtBE have been removed <br /> 109 r <br /> since remediation was initiated at the site <br /> 61 2 Groundwater Extraction System <br /> The GWE portion of the DPE system is comprised of submersible pumps installed in wells EW-1 <br /> 1 and EW-6 and "slurp" tubes installed in wells MW-4 and EW-7 Off-site extraction well EW-7 .� <br /> was connected to the system and brought online in June 2004 During the second quarter <br /> 2005, the GWE system pumped and treated approximately 145,000 gallons of groundwater, <br /> removing approximately 0 5 lbs of TPHg, 0 0 lbs of benzene, and 0 3 lbs of MtBE An estimated <br /> t 112 8 lbs of TPHg, 4 04 lbs of benzene, and 139 9 lbs of MtBE have been removed by GWE <br /> since the DPE system began operating at the site and 1,307,600 gallons of water have been <br /> ' pumped and treated <br /> 61 3 Groundwater Batch Extraction <br /> Off-site extraction wells EW-2, EW-3, EW-4, and EW-5 are pumped on a weekly basis between <br /> the third quarter 2003 and the first quarter 2005, and the water is treated through the on-site GWE a <br /> system Batch extraction events resulted in the removal of 121,740 gallons from the off-site <br /> extraction wells Batch extraction was discontinued during the first quarter 2005 after installation b <br /> of an off-site ozone sparge system <br /> 6.14 Off-Site Ozone Sparge System <br /> SJCEHD approved the installation of an ozone sparge system with a barrier of wells installed in <br /> the sidewalk on the north side to Harding Way The ozone sparge wells SP-1 through SP-6 4 <br /> were installed during the first quarter 2005 and the ozone system was installed and began <br /> operation on July 12, 2005 <br /> k <br /> 1�n4S�Rc yy+5+ <br /> y 5 if <br /> 1 ! <br /> Updated SCM 2005 doe 16 <br /> ' 77CP 64409 05 0005 r <br />
