SECOR <br /> � International Incorporated <br /> May 29, 2002 <br /> Project 77TO 64409 00 0007 <br /> Mr Ed Ralston <br /> Phillips 66 Company <br /> 1380 Lead Hill Road, Suite 120 <br /> Roseville, California 95661 <br /> Re Site Assessment Report <br /> Tosco Service Station No 4409 <br /> 1502 North El Dorado Street <br /> Stockton, California <br /> Site Code 508431 <br /> Dear Mr Ralston <br /> This letter, prepared by SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR) on behalf of Tosco <br /> Corporation, a subsidiary of Phillips Petroleum Company (Tosco), presents the findings of <br /> • assessment activities conducted by IT Corporation (IT) at the site referenced above <br /> Y (Figure 1) The objective of this work was to further define the vertical extent of petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon impacts to groundwater beneath the subject site The scope of work consisted <br /> of the installation of three groundwater monitoring wells (MW-8 through MW-10) to <br /> depths of approximately 80 feet below the ground surface (bgs,Figure 2) This work was <br /> performed as described in IT's Groundwater Assessment Work Plan, dated July 6, 2001 <br /> and to accordance with the San Joaquin County Public Health Services/Environmental <br /> Health Division (SJCPHS/EHD) approval letter dated August 1, 2001 (Attachment A) As <br /> a result of the recent transition of oversight of all environmental work for the above- <br /> referenced site from IT to SECOR, a report documenting the results of this investigation <br /> was not completed by IT SECOR presents a description of site background and the results <br /> of IT's site assessment in the following sections <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located on the northeast corner of Harding Way and El Dorado Street in <br /> Stockton, California(Figures 1 and 2) The site is a former Unocal service station that sold <br /> gasoline and diesel fuel <br /> On April 7, 1999, three 10,000-gallon capacity underground storage tanks (USTs), which <br /> contained gasoline and diesel fuel,were removed from the site Excavation dimensions <br /> were approximately 35 feet by 40 feet by 15 feet deep buttal remedial activities included <br /> source removal of obviously impacted soil to a depth of approximately 18 feet below <br /> ground surface (bgs)beneath the center of the western fuel tank Additional remedial <br /> 3017 Kilgore Road, Suite 100, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 916 861 0400 916 8610430 Fax tvww secor com <br />
