The purpose of this report is to document activities performed in <br /> association with the removal of the underground storage tanks (USTs),product dispenser <br /> �• island, underground product piping and obviously impacted soil at the site referenced <br /> above. <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located on the northeast corner of Harding Way and El Dorado Street in <br /> Stockton, California. The site is a former Unocal service station that retailed gasoline and <br /> diesel fuel. <br /> UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL AND EXCAVATION <br /> ACTIVITIES <br /> On April 7, 1999,three USTs were removed from the site during UST divestment <br /> activities. The tanks were 10,000-gallon capacity with two containing gasoline and one <br /> containing diesel. The USTs were removed by John's Excavating of Santa Rosa, <br /> California. Mr. Mike Inf ima with San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department (SCEHD) observed the removal of the USTs. Upon removal, the USTs and <br /> product piping were visually inspected for evidence of failure and were found to be in <br /> good condition with no holes, cracks, or signs of leaks. The removed USTs were <br /> transported by Ecology Control Industries to Erickson Inc. of Richmond, California, on <br /> April 7, 1999.
