Sample Handling Instructions <br /> 5112T-Le Container b Volume - The use of proper sample containers holding <br /> an appropriate volume of sample is essential to FGL Environmental's <br /> quality assurance program. fable I shows the type of containers and the <br /> volume required for each analysis. <br /> Sam le Preservation - The proper preservation of samples is a fundamental <br /> element of FGL Environmenral's quality assurance program. Table I shows <br /> the preservation measures required for each analysis. FGL Environmentals <br /> staff follows methods listed in the Handbook for Sampling and Sample <br /> Preservation of Water and Wastewater, U.S. EPA Monitoring and Support <br /> Laboratory; Cincinnati, Ohio; September 1982. <br /> Sam le Holdin Times - Strict observance of the holding time requirement <br /> for each type of analyses is essential to FGL Environmental's quality <br /> assurance program. Table I shows the maximum allowable holding times for <br /> each analysis. <br /> The information given in Table I is based on recommendations in EPA <br /> Methods for Chemical Analysis of k'ater and (Wastewater (EPA-600/4-79-020) <br /> and EPA Test Methods for Evaluating Solid Waste (SW-846). <br /> Sample Log - All samples collected by FCL Environmental personnel must <br /> be accompanied by the following information: <br /> 1). Sampling location <br /> 2). Sample date and time <br /> 3). Person sampling <br /> ! 4). Preservative used <br /> 5). Analysis required <br /> All samples collected by FG1. Environmental personnel, or samples received <br /> directly from a client, are relinquished to a member of the office staff <br /> and logged into the laboratory. The following information is contained <br /> in the log; <br /> 1). Client <br /> 2). Number of samples <br /> 3). Analysis requested <br /> 4). Sample Description <br /> 5). Person sample received from <br /> 6). Person sample received by <br /> 7). Date received <br /> 8). Date analysis required <br /> 9). Unique laboratory number <br /> RECEIVED KAU, 1 3 1990 <br />
