Concentrations of contaminants of concern have
increased significantly in groundwater collected from monitoring well MW-2 since oxygen
injections were terminated in July 2011.
Stantec recommended that oxygen injections resume, focusing specifically on targeting
MW-2. The EHD concurs with this recommendation and directs that groundwater be collected
only from MW-2 following the first and second months of resuming oxygen injections. Please
submit the results to the EHD within thirty days of completing the second round of sampling.
If you have any questions concerning this letter, please contact Vicki McCartney at (209) 468-
9852, or by email at vmccartney@sjcehd.com.
Sincerely,
Victoria L McCartney,t IS Nuel C.
