(Stantec) on behalf of 7-Eleven Inc. <br /> (7-Eleven), details a scope of work to destroy groundwater monitoring and remediation wells at <br /> 7-Eleven Store #19976, located at 1399 North Main Street, Manteca, California (Figures 1 and 2, <br /> and Table 1). San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) concurred with <br /> 7-Eleven's closure recommendation in a December 24, 2013 letter to 7-Eleven (Attachment A). <br /> The site is currently pending case closure during the 6o-day public comment period as required <br /> by the California State Water Resources Control Board's Low-Threat Closure Policy. This work <br /> plan has been prepared for review by SJCEHD during the 6o-day public;comment period as <br /> requested in its December 24, 2013 letter. - <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Permitting/Utility Clearance - Upon work plan approval, Stantec will obtain an <br /> encroachment permit from the City of Manteca and well destruction permits from the SJCEHD. <br /> Prior to conducting subsurface work at the site, Underground Service Alert (USA North) will be <br /> contacted to notify underground utility owners of the planned ground disturbance. Notified <br /> utility owners will delineate the locations of any utilities entering the marked work areas with <br /> surface markings. Additionally, a private utility locator service will be contracted to further <br /> identify subsurface utility locations using radio signal and metal detectors. <br /> Health and Safety-Stantec will modify the existing site-specific Health and Safety Plan for the <br /> scope of work as required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) <br /> Standard "Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response" guidelines (29 CFR 1910.120). <br /> The document will be reviewed and signed by Stantec personnel and subcontractors performing <br /> work at the site. <br /> Design with community in mind <br />
