worporation <br /> 4005 Port Chicago Highway <br /> Concord, CA 94520-1120 <br /> Tel 925 288 9898 <br /> the <br /> L R Fax 925 288 0888 <br /> ILE'.091roup. <br /> A lllember of The IT Group <br /> August 1, 2000 <br /> AUG 0 2 2000 <br /> Ms Carol Oz <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH San Joaquin County Public Health Services PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> Subject Work Plan for Additional Subsurface Investigation <br /> 7-Eleven Store No 19976 <br /> 1399 North Main Street <br /> Manteca, California <br /> Dear Ms Oz <br /> IT Corporation, Inc submits this workplan on behalf of 7-Eleven, Inc (7-Eleven), as requested in your <br /> April 17, 2000 correspondence and subsequent discussions regarding the referenced site (Figure 1) <br /> • There is no known ongoing leak at the site, based on 7-Eleven's current records To determine potential <br /> sources of hydrocarbons in the vadose zone, a soil gas survey will be conducted in the tank/pump <br /> island/vapor recovery line area (locations shown on Figure 2) <br /> In addition, one offsite groundwater monitoring well (screened from 10 to 30 feet below grade)and a <br /> Srmulprobe boring to sample soils from 30-45 feet below grade)will be installed at the locations indicated <br /> on Figure 2 <br /> A site-specific Health and Safety Plan(HASP) has been prepared by IT Corporation as required by the <br /> Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)Standard "Hazardous Waste Operations and <br /> Emergency Response"guidelines (29 CFR 1910 120) The HASP contains site-specific health and safety <br /> information such as material safety data sheets, air monitoring action levels, emergency procedures and <br /> phone numbers, hazard analysis, directions to the nearest hospital with an emergency facility and other <br /> health and safety information required by OSHA guidelines The document will be reviewed and signed by <br /> all IT Corporation personnel and subcontractors performing work at the site <br /> Within four to six weeks of receipt of all field and analytical findings, IT Corporation will prepare a report <br /> summarizing the data collected under the scope of work detailed above The report will document the <br /> methods and results of the work, summarize laboratory analytical results, and include appropriate maps <br /> If appropriate, these results will be integrated with quarterly groundwater monitoring data and submitted as <br /> a combined report <br /> t <br />
