Box 388,304 East Weber Avenue <br /> j Stockton, California 95201-388 k <br /> a <br /> Subject: Addendum To Workplan For Subsurface Investigation . <br /> Southland 7-Eleven Store#19976 <br /> 1399 North Main Street <br /> Manteca, California . <br /> Ms Oz: <br /> As requested, Fluor Daniel GTI, Inc.stipulates the following as an addendum to the Workplan For <br /> Subsurface Investigation,dated March 31; 1998 for the subject site: <br /> 1) The five proposed soil borings will be drilled to a depth of 25.feet below ground surface (BGS);however, <br /> if field instruments and/or visual observation indicate hydrocarbons are present in the sample collected at <br /> 25 feet BGS,the soil boring'will be extended vertically with samples collected at5-foot intervals until field <br /> instruments and visual observation indicate that the samples contain no hydrocarbons. <br /> 2)A discrete soil-sample will be collected from each boring at the capillary fringe. <br /> A 3) The soil boring located on the northeast side of the underground storage tank pit will be sampled <br /> continuously from surface grade to total depth of the boring. <br /> 4)All soil and groundwater samples will be additionally analyzed for gasoline oxygenates including tertiary <br /> butyl alcohol (TBA), methyl tent butyl ether(MTBE),di-isopropyl ether(DIPE),ethyl tertiary butyl ether <br /> (ETBE),tertiary amyl methyl ether(TAME) using EPA method 8260. <br /> 5) Fluor Daniel will conduct a search to identify all water supply wells within a 2,000-foot radius of the <br /> subject site. The well search will be conducted through the Department of Water Resources (DWR),the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Services Agency, and all local municipal water supply 1 <br /> companies.
