El Dorado <br /> Stockton, CA 95202 <br /> We have reviewed the March 5, 1991, Pre-Tank Replacement Site Assessment Results Report submitted by <br /> Aegis Environmental, Incorporated. Soil contamination is present in the north end of the tank pit (total <br /> petroleum 'hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-G), 1600 parts .per million (ppm); toluene, 1300ppm; <br /> ethylbenzene 360ppm, xylenes 2000ppm.) Aegis proposed to remediate this area by re-excavating the <br /> contaminated soil and utilize soil vapor extraction wells. <br /> On March 18, 1991, Sari Joaquin County Public Health Services,Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) <br /> received a fetter from Aegis' Project Engineer, Jacqueline R. Doub, stating that the scheduled and approved <br /> storage tank replacement has been "pur on hold" and "Exxon has not established a date for any future <br /> subsurface activity at rhe site." <br /> Please submit an updated work plan that will define the extent of soil and groundwarer contamination to <br /> PHS/EHD and to the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) by May 26, 1991. <br /> In addition, PHS/EHD is providing you notification that an "Underground Storage Tank Unauthorized <br /> Release (Leak)/Contaminated Site Report" has been filed pursuant to-Section 25180.7 of the Health and <br /> Safery Code. <br /> If you have any further questions contact Mike.Infurna, REHS, of my staff at (209)468-3454. <br /> JoKhanna M. ., M.P.H. <br /> Health Offi <br /> 1 <br /> une A.
