(Aegis), is pleased to provide Exxon Compan;W.S.A.with this <br /> proposed work plan for a phase I subsurface investigation at the subject site (Figure 1). <br /> The purpose of the investigation is to determine the vertical and horizontal extent of <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons in the subsurface and groundwater beneath the site. The scope E <br /> of the proposed investigation includes: a)drill hree n site borin s a roximately 60 feet <br /> below grade and complete each boring as a groundwate monitoring wet b)classify soils <br /> during drilling in accordance with the Unified Soil Classification System (USCS);c)collect <br /> and submit selected soil samples to a state-certified laboratory for analysis; d) develop <br /> and collect water samples from each groundwater monitoring well and submit samples <br /> to a state-certified analytical laboratory; e)survey the elevations of the top of PVC casing <br /> of each groundwater monitoring well and measure depth to groundwater; and f) prepare <br /> a factual results report. The locations of the proposed on site groundwater monitoring <br /> wells are indicated in Figure 2.
